As with any new boiler the central heating system has to be flushed out with a cleaning agent.
Thiswill remove any sludge build up and debris from the system. Once the
system is clean then an inhibitor needs to be added to protect the
boiler and the system. If the system is not cleaned and you have a
problem with the boiler and need to make a call under the warranty, you
will find your warranty may be void. The cleaning of the system is all
part of the warranty conditions. Most boilers that breakdown are due to
dirty water in the system, this dirty water cause blockages and so the
boiler breakdown as it cannot circulate properly.
Always check that your installer
has carried out a system clean. The benchmark book has a section where
the installer has to state what cleaner and inhibitor has been used.
